Late last week, Home Decor Products ceased operations (as reported by internet retailer) - seems they ran into some inventory problems and tried to get back into the drop-shipping business, but it was too late. HDPI (Home Decor Products Inc.) ran a number of online stores focused on home products - some of its sites included homeclick.com , absolutehome.com, barbecues.com, knobandthings.com, chefcorner.com, flooringstore.com and a bunch more.
The Home Decor Products Inc corporate site is no longer live (here is the google cache of the homepage). While the corporate site is down, there online stores are still live (ie. homeclick - but have a message on the top of each site saying something to the effect of ” the site is currently available for browsing ONLY. no orders can be placed at this time. we apologize……..”
OK, so if you made it this far you are probably wondering what the heck does HDPI have to do with the title of the this post….. Well, since i heard the news (and knew some of the original investors in the company) i have been doing a daily news & web searches for “hdpi” and “homeclick” to see if any new news comes out about this (as im sure they are trying to sell the sites / assets). While conducting these searches i started seeing ads from HDPI competitor sites taking advantage of the fact that hdpi is going out of business.
